……easter
Just wanted to take a moment to wish everyone a Happy Easter. It is one of my favorite holidays and is for myself and many, meant to be a symbol of hope, renewal, and new life. God Bless.
For those of my friends who aren’t Christian, Perhaps you can share some of the principals that you celebrate during this time of year.
In my mind, Easter always leads us to Spring! Its finally here and I am happy for all my east coast and “across the pond” friends who had to deal with such a harsh winter. Welcome to the good weather. Soon you will be joining us Caribbean and California folks by wearing what you want and enjoying the warm sunshine.
Easter is also a birthday reminder for me (April 2nd) and I thank you for all your emails and well wishes. What did I do for my birthday? Well friends and loving family treated me to a day on the beach (Stinson Beach) and we had a good old fashioned “fish fry”! (which was delicious but not something I do too often– the fried foods I mean). I played some volleyball and walked along the beach; watched some kids build a sand castle (pretty good too- moat and all) and generally had a quiet, peaceful time. Just what I wanted.
This is a short video of the northern California coastline on the way down to Stinson Beach.
You have probably noticed that we’ve made some changes to the site. It was time to merge the blog with the home page so that everything showed up in one place on gregoryabbott.com So it’s done. We have the ability now to set up some chatting. Perhaps we might set a date and a topic of conversation and tune in together for a half hour or so… Let me know if that’s something you’d like see.
Sign up forms……
I’m supposed to tell you that you may get an email asking to confirm that you still want to be part of my site. If you have signed up before this will override that and make everything current. We just didn’t want to lose anybody with the changeover, Thanks for your patience in this.
For my European friends……
It looks like I may be out your way in the fall. (I will keep you posted).
My quote for today is:
“We are told to let our light shine, and if it does, we won’t need to tell anybody it does. Lighthouses don’t fire cannons to call attention to their shining – they just shine”.
Dwight L. Moody
As always, I am musically yours,
Gregory

Yes I want to be part of the site. I have much respect for your talent and admire your humble ways. I like your view of the world. My dream is to see you perform live one day.
Great Easter post! I’m looking forward to warmer weather. The east coast has been brutalized this year.
