……its february <3

Just a short note this post but I didn’t want to forget to wish everyone

Remember to value those you love. They are the greatest blessing this life will ever give you.

There are lots of links throughout this post so after a first read go ahead and click pics so you don’t miss em!

Some of my favorite music to get you celebrating…

As a celebration of Black History Month, I attended a performance by the African American Composer Initiative which featured very special guest Valerie Capers. Valerie is a gifted pianist and composer. As a part of our musical heritage she is someone you should know… (she is the first blind graduate of the Julliard School). Aside from this, Valerie has a creative and experimental spirit. Her great personality and easy way of explaining both Classical and Jazz music with stories and humor is infectious (even to non Jazz aficionados). Below is an example from last years performance. (The fact that she’s from my hometown of New York City and that I was so comfortable with her she felt like a family member doesn’t hurt either lol). While there I even ran into some Facebook friends!

Abbott with world renowned Composer Pianist Valerie Capers and Pianist, Vocalist, and coordinator of the AACI Judge LaDoris Cordell.

Black history is made everyday. Celebrate with these 25 African-American firsts.

A note of congratulations to one of my favorite causes…

As an associate of Energime University through Global Cooperation Day, I am pleased to announce that Energime University is now partnered with the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) under the auspices of an initiative directed by H.E Ban Ki-Moon, U.N Secretary-General.

My quotes for this post

heart in the sky

Love is our true destiny. We do not find the meaning of life by ourselves alone – we find it with another.

If you have only one smile in you, give it to the people you love. MAYA ANGELOU

I am involved in something unfortunate at the moment but will get through it in due course. Doing my best to follow my own advice. Blessings to you all.

As always, I am

Musically yours, Gregory
